Well, look what I did! I've never considered myself much of a painter, but one of the ladies at our retreat, Wendy Jeff Yutzy, walked us through this today and I actually painted something I like! Meet the Founder
Hi, I'm Wendy.
I started painting again when my children were little.
I wanted them to learn how to paint, so I asked my friend, Patrick Hunter, if he would teach my kids.
Instead, he said, “Why don't I teach you?”
So in 2013, I took a workshop with Patrick at Red Lake District High School.
He taught me the foundations that helped me begin to see painting in a whole new way—how to design a painting, create a background, and take an idea in my mind and bring it to life on a canvas.
That experience reminded me that you don't have to already know how to paint to become a painter.
You simply need someone willing to teach you and the courage to give it a try.
What began as a desire to learn alongside my children became the beginning of my own journey as an artist—and eventually, a passion for helping others discover that they can learn to paint too.
